Float Therapy

Float therapy, also known as sensory deprivation therapy, involves floating in an open pool filled with water and a high concentration of Epsom salt. The water is heated to skin temperature, which creates a feeling of weightlessness and allows the body and mind to relax deeply. There are several reasons why you should consider receiving float therapy.

Float therapy can help reduce stress and anxiety. When you enter the open pool, you are cut off from external stimuli such as light, sound, and touch. This allows your brain to enter a state of deep relaxation, which can help reduce cortisol levels and promote feelings of calmness and wellbeing. Additionally, the high concentration of Epsom salt in the pool can help soothe sore muscles and joints, further reducing physical tension.

Float therapy may improve your sleep quality. Many people struggle with insomnia or other sleep disorders, which can have negative effects on their physical and mental health. Float therapy has been shown to increase levels of theta brain waves, which are associated with deep relaxation and meditation. This can help improve sleep quality by promoting a state of relaxation that is conducive to falling asleep and staying asleep.
